Twelve staff from 7, 9 and 10 Companies took part in an archery course at Blackheath this weekend run by Dave Leader from Aim4Sport.
The two-day course was planned by Lt Col Simon Johnson and was received with much anticipation by staff who are really looking forward to delivering archery to cadets on camps, at detachments and to colleagues. All twelve staff passed with flying colours and learnt key skills such as sizing bows and arrows for participants, setting up and running a range as well as a variety of useful instructional techniques.
The qualification will be awarded following an exam and conditional assessment of coaching and safety techniques over the weekend.
