Hampshire & IOW ACF Dettingen Band joined forces to form a reception Band for the Commandants Seminar.
Hampshire & IOW ACF Dettingen Band joined forces with Oxfordshire Corunna Band & Bugles, The Royal County of Berkshire Band, Surrey Corps of Drums and Members from Dorset ACF, to form a reception Band for the Commandants Seminar.
We welcomed and entertained over 50 Commandants including our Own Commandant, Col Theresa Farmer and Army Cadet Music Commandant, Col Mike Neville and members of the ACF from all over the UK who were attending the dinner night.
Excellent- the presence of the band makes my job much easier when trying to get other Commandants interested in music. It also impresses the senior officers from Regional Command and ensures their continued support.

During the course of the evening we were joined by a young Bagpiper, Anne Waishan, from Gordon’s School. The Band performed Highland Cathedral and Scotland the Brave. Anne then went on to play the Commandants into their dinner.
Before the Band finished Major General David Eastman MBE presented BAE Awards for Excellence to Cadet BSM Maggie Dennis and BSM Kathryn Day.
Major General David Eastman joined in the Band performing on Cornet for a second time.
