Adwick cadets Cadet Lance Corporal (Cdt L/Cpl) Mathew Schonwalder and Cdt L/Cpl Marek Koltunski both received certificates when Lieutenant Adam Fidment, Company Training Officer, visited the detachment.
L/Cpl Schonwalder was presented with his One Star certificate & patch. The One Star is the second stage of the Army Cadet Syllabus (ACS). Recognising knowledge and skills in a broad range of military subjects including Navigation, First Aid, Skill at Arms, Fieldcraft, and Shooting.

Cdt L/Cpl Koltunski was presented with his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award certificate. The Bronze award is the first level in the DofE award scheme. Participants take part in activities in four areas; Physical, Skills, Volunteering and Expedition. Cadets in the Army cadet force are undertaking these activities during their ACS training so only require a small additional commitment to achieve the bronze award.
The DofE award scheme is widely recognised by employers so offers a valuable additional opportunity for our cadets.
