On final parade I stand amidst the echoes of laughter, camaraderie, and achievement at the conclusion of an extraordinary 10-day residential camp at Barry Buddon in Scotland. Our Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and dedicated permanent staff of the RFCA Yorkshire and the Humber have truly outdone themselves, creating an immersive experience that epitomises the essence of inclusivity, fun, and the spirit of togetherness.
This year’s camp was more than just a series of activities; it was a journey of friendship, fostering bonds that will stand the test of time. As we reflect on the memories made, we celebrate the spirited participation of our RAFAC Cadet friends, who joined us for the first time, injecting new energy into our community. The warmth of our Scottish ACF counterparts and the vibrancy of the National Cadet Corps added a unique global dimension to our gathering, enriching the cultural tapestry of our camp.
Inclusivity was our guiding star, ensuring every cadet felt valued and embraced. Regardless of background or origin, we united under the banner of shared experiences, learning from one another and celebrating our diversity.
