It seems a while since I introduced our Every Cadet Bears Diversity & Inclusion to you all and we started off our #EveryCadet campaign.

Well I am pleased to let you all know that since completing the 13 Bridges Walk for SSAFA and meeting up with Sally Orange, our National Army Cadet Ambassador, Diversity & Inclusion have completed over 100 kilometres on expeditions with our Essex Cadets.

Since that start of the campaign back in June of this year Essex have enrolled 58 Cadets for Bronze, 21 for Silver and 1 at Gold level, and we have a healthy batch being processed for this month (December).

Through the pandemic we have as a County achieved 12 Certificates of Achievement (completion of the three sections of the award excluding the expedition section) and 12 full awards across all levels more recently as we have successful completed several expeditions towards the end of this year.

Congratulations to all of that have achieved your awards in such challenging times, and well done to all of those that have just started their DofE journey.

Cadet Competition

We have another #EveryCadetBear that needs a name before making it an Essex trio.

What name should our new Essex #EveryCadetBear be called?

The winner will receive a DofE prize and get the opportunity to take our new Bear on the next adventure!

Join our Essex ACF DofE Training Facebook page now to enter and keep an eye out for the competition post where you can submit your new #EveryCadet Bear name.

Competition closes 31/01/2022.

Our training page is designated to support our Cadets through the enrolment process to achievement of their awards, with regular live remote Zoom drop-in sessions.
