On Saturday 25th June, 5 Platoon supported the Royal British Legion in Maidenhead town centre, in aid of raising both funds and awareness for Armed Forces Day.
The Cadets’ worked extremely hard all day, and showcased every one of the Army Cadets’ Values & Standards during the day, which saw the cadets raise an incredible £1060.11 – a fantastic effort from a good day.
The Army Cadets Values
- Courage
- Discipline
- Respect for Others
- Integrity
- Loyalty
- Selfless Commitment
A fine example of our Value’s and Standards in action was demonstrated by Cadet Lance Sergeant Knott, after an elderly later took a fall. After assisting her back to her feet, L/Sgt Knott helped the lady with the rest of her shopping, and also helped her to her car, before ensuring she drove off safely.
Thank all those cadets who took part in the fundraising and spreading of awareness for the RBL. It was a great day, which we are sure the cadets enjoyed being a part of.
