The next Sports event will be Athletics. This will start with a County training and Selection event at Tidworth Oval on Saturday 27th May 2023. This will be in preparation for the Regional Competition on Saturday 3rd June 2023 to be held in Gloucester. Cadets that compete at the Regional event have the chance to be selected to represent the South West at the National Championships in Altcar
on the Weekend of 16-18 June 2023.
It is hoped that transport will be available - 1 x Minibus per Company (subject to drivers being available) for the Tidworth Event.
The dress for the event will be Sports Kit with suitable footwear for the event they would like to compete in. A warm set of clothing and a waterproof jacket should also be brought.
Cadets will need to bring a packed lunch and water bottle
To be competitive as a County, the County Sports Officer is asking that this event is publicised and promoted as much as possible throughout the County. Ideally, we need to field 4 full teams in each age group as the competition is points based.
The categories are Junior Boys, and Girls. Senior Boys and Girls.

Alongside Cadets to try out/compete, the County Sports Officer would appreciate support with this event from any CFAV that is available. Especially any CFAV with Athletics experience or qualifications. There will be numerous roles on the day from Team Managers/Admin/Welfare to Measuring and Timing. 3 x Minibus drivers would also be greatly welcomed.
