Ex CADETPADDLE VENTURER - Intermediate kayak Award (IKA) expedition 28 May-4Jun 2022
This is a 8-day intermediate Inland kayak expedition to France. This course will follow the British Canoeing White Water Award syllabus. The River Allier is an extremely popular and well known intermediate white water destination suitable for all levels of ability. It has a dam compensation release so there is water all year round. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to paddle a great French river.
This is not an expedition for novices. Applicants will be required to have achieved the min Basic Inland Kayak (BIK)/K2F qualification, have some moving water experience and be water confident.
Candidates will be travel to and from the France by minibus. Paddling equipment can be provided by CCAT if required. Full expedition insurance, instruction, lodge accommodation and full feeding are included. This course is open to CFAVs and Senior Cadets 17+ years. The personal contribution for this course is £300.00. Personal contributions will not be refunded for cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing. A hard copy CCAT application fully completed, signed and authorised by the Unit/School is to be sent/emailed to CCAT.
Applicants will be vetted for suitability based on previous experience. If selected we will then ask for a deposit £100.00 payment.
