Outstanding Effort: Sergeant Leanne Tonge Completes Two Training Courses

Commitment, professional development and leadership! Sergeant Leanne Tonge has demonstrated all three by completing two demanding Army Cadet training courses back-to-back.

First, Leanne completed the Adult Leadership and Management Course at Larkhall. Immediately afterwards, she moved on to the First Aid Trainer Course at Frimley Park.

By completing both courses in succession, Leanne has demonstrated her determination to strengthen her skills and knowledge. Furthermore, her achievement highlights the dedication our Adult Volunteers bring to the Army Cadet Force.

Two Courses, One Outstanding Effort

Adult Leadership and Management Course – Larkhall

Leanne began her training journey with the Adult Leadership and Management Course at Larkhall.

Effective leadership helps Adult Volunteers guide, support and inspire young people. In addition, strong management skills enable volunteers to contribute more effectively to their detachments, companies and the wider battalion.

Through this course, Leanne has continued to develop the knowledge and skills she brings to her role. Consequently, she can build on her experience and continue to grow as an Adult Volunteer.

Moreover, her commitment to professional development demonstrates the importance of continually learning and improving.

First Aid Trainer Course – Frimley Park

Following her leadership training, Leanne travelled to Frimley Park to complete the First Aid Trainer Course.

First aid plays a vital role in Army Cadet training. Therefore, developing first aid training skills helps our volunteers support the delivery of essential knowledge and practical skills to Cadets and fellow volunteers.

Furthermore, this additional training strengthens the experience Leanne brings to the organisation. By continuing to develop her abilities, she can help support the Army Cadet Force’s commitment to effective training and development.

Clearly, completing two demanding courses back-to-back takes dedication, determination and a willingness to learn!

Investing in Our Volunteers, Investing in Our Cadets

Behind every successful Cadet stands a team of dedicated Adult Volunteers. They give their time, energy and experience to help young people learn, grow and achieve their potential.

When our volunteers develop, our Cadets benefit too!

For this reason, achievements like Leanne’s deserve recognition. Not only does her commitment demonstrate a positive attitude towards personal development, but it also sets an excellent example for fellow volunteers.

Ultimately, investing in our people helps strengthen the Army Cadet Force and the opportunities we provide for young people.

Congratulations, Leanne!
