Promoted to Warrant Officer Class Two and Appointed Korea Company Sergeant Major

The Black Watch Battalion Army Cadet Force is delighted to congratulate Staff Sergeant Kyle Chapple on his promotion to Warrant Officer Class Two (WO2) and his appointment as Company Sergeant Major (CSM) of Korea Company.
This well-earned achievement recognises Kyle’s professionalism, dedication, and commitment to both the Army Cadet Force and the young people it serves. Throughout his time with the Battalion, he has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, supported fellow volunteers, and played an important role in delivering high-quality cadet training and development.
Taking on a Key Leadership Role
As Company Sergeant Major of Korea Company, WO2 Chapple assumes one of the company’s most important leadership appointments. The role carries significant responsibility for maintaining high standards of discipline, mentoring Adult Volunteers, and supporting the delivery of an engaging and rewarding Army Cadet experience.
His promotion reflects the confidence placed in him to lead by example and continue developing the next generation of cadets and instructors.
A Successful Handover
WO2 Chapple succeeds Second Lieutenant Neil Grant, who recently commissioned after serving with distinction as Korea Company Sergeant Major.
Second Lieutenant Grant provided outstanding leadership throughout his tenure, and the Battalion thanks him for his exceptional service in the role. The smooth handover ensures Korea Company remains well placed to continue delivering excellent opportunities for cadets across the region.
