Area Commanders

The main purpose of the Area Commanders' Course is to study the organisation, administration, management and training of the ACF at Area and County levels, and to confirm the responsibilities of the Area Commander.

The course qualifies ACF Captains for promotion to Major.

This course should be attended by ACF Officers holding the rank of Captain or above and who are likely to take over as an Area (or equivalent) Commander. Candidates must have previously attended the mandatory courses at CTC unless exempted by the Commandant of CTC due to previous Regular or Reserve service.
