About Us
Essex Army Cadet Force has over 1000 cadets and 170 adult volunteers in 32 detachments right across the county.
The 32 detachments are organised into four sub units as follows:
Across Essex there are four company headquarters who each look after a small group of detachments there locations are:
A Company HQ is based in Warley and has seven detachments located in Basildon, Brentwood, Grays, Ongar, Stanford le Hope, Tilbury and Warley.
B Company HQ is based in Harlow and has nine detachments located in Chelmsford, Dunmow, Epping, Harlow, Harlow old town, Maldon, Melbourne, Saffron Walden and Waltham Abbey.
C Company HQ is based in Leigh and has eight detachments located in Billericay, Canvey, Dengie Hundred, Leigh, Rayleigh, Shoeburyness, Southend and South Woodham Ferrers.
D Company HQ is based in Colchester and has eight detachments located in Braintree, Brightlingsea, Clacton, Colchester, Dovercourt, Manningtree, Parsons Heath and Witham.
Essex County HQ is based in Chelmsford and has a team of permanent staff including the Cadet Executive Officer, Training & Safety Adviser, Quartermaster, Assistant Quartermaster, Office Manager and two admin assistants. There are also four admin assistants who are each responsible for one company.
