Durham Come Second in NE Regional Football
Durham ACF attended the NE Regional Football Competition on Sunday 22nd January. Teams from Northumbria, Cleveland, Yorkshire North and West and Humberside and South Yorkshire ACFs also attended. There were some hard fought matches and it was wonderful to see so many cadets turn out from the different counties. Unfortunately Durham Junior Boys did not do very well, but both Girls’ teams were runners up to Cleveland ACF whilst the Senior Boys came first in their class. Overall Durham ACF came second, again to Cleveland ACF.
Thank you to all the cadets who took part on the day…I have a FOOTBALL badge ready for you. Well done to the 5 lads who were selected to represent the North East Region at the National Competition on the 17th of March at Warcop: Curry, Cutts, Mason, Brown and Lowes. I would also like to thank the Officers who drove and refereed on the day.
