SKI CADET 2013 DAY ONE
MOUNTAIN
We all arrived just after 8am at the hotel in Bad Hindelang. After offloading the kit we then went straight to ski hire to get fitted out with boots and skis and off course a helmet.
After an early lunch it was straight in to survival mode!
Major Tony Wilmore and WO2 Billy Kinniburgh gave an introduction to mountain survival which included digging a snow shelter, and the use of avalanche equipment such as probes and transceivers.
The four groups each completed there own snow hole and the winners were the boys in team one.
It was then off to the room to get ready for evening meal and an early night!
