The Squadron was the first Company in the Argyll And Sutherland Highlanders Battalion ACF to receive the New Testament & Psalms from Gideons International. 74 cadets formed at the Cumbernauld Detachment to receive their own copy of the New Testament & Psalms. Col Elliot visited the detachment to witness the presentations and to brief the cadets on why they were being given their own copy of the New Testament & Psalms. Cadet Cpl McKelvie from Bishopbriggs Detachment was the first to receive the New Testament & Psalms, whilst Cadet Cpl Smith from Condorrat Detachment took the parade.
