F Squadron Remembrance Parade

13.11.11

F Squadron A&SH Bn ACF formed up with 65 cadets and 11 Adult instructors and 2 officers on the 13th November at Remembrance Parade near Kilsyth Congregational Church, led by Major Rab Lockhart and CSMI Leann Conroy, Parade Marshal SSI Derek Findlay

The Squadron formed up and marched behind the RBL and Kilsyth Pipe Band. To the rear of the Squadron were Scouts, BB, GB, Guides, Brownies. They marched through Kilsyth Main Street to the memorial where the parade was held with F Squadron and other laiding wreaths.
Parade then marched under guidance of SSI Findlay and SSMI Conroy, passed local dignitaries to the church. After a very pleasant service the cadets were invited to stay as guests of the church for soup, sandwiches and home baking, which was very much appreciated.

On the previous Saturday cadets collected the sum of £2470.43 for Poppy Scotland.
