Training Centres
The Battalion has two dedicated cadet training centres (CTC) at Arrochar and Lochgilphead, where weekend training is carried out, as well as local detachment nights. Both centres have excellent training facilities and overnight dormitory accommodation for over 60 cadets and adults, along with their own kitchens and dining rooms. Clean bedding and all meals are included in the cost of training weekends. Cadet training at the centres includes drill, fieldcraft, skill at arms, shooting, first aid and signals. Expeditions are also launched from the centres and adventurous training activities such as mountain biking are carried out. The centres are used as well for training our adult volunteers and our Pipes and Drums contingent.
