Pipes & Drums Centre
The central office of Army Cadet Force Piping and Drumming known as the Army Cadet Force Pipes and Drums Centre (ACFPDC) is located within Redford Cavalry Barracks, Colinton Road, Edinburgh.
Previously located in the portacabins next to the old Garrison Sergeant's Mess the decision was made in late 2008 to re-locate the Centre. Building 2, the Commanding Officer's old stable block, situated behind the Garrison Sergeant's Mess was available and this provided the opportunity for an office refurbishment to take place. With the aspiration to create a long term home for Army Cadet Force Piping and Drumming Lowland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (RFCA) stepped up to the breech, completing the refurbishment in August 2009. This could not have been achieved without the invaluable foresight and effort given by the Chief Executive and Staff of Lowland RFCA, to whom we owe a great debt of gratitude.
