Army Cadets is all about fun and friendship, so it's the ideal place to meet new people and make new friends while doing loads of exciting activities and learning new stuff.
Some people join cadets because they had a friend from school or maybe an older brother or sister in the cadets and they heard about all the cool stuff they were doing. But if you're joining and don't know anyone already there, don't worry.
Most detachments have about 25-30 cadets so there's bound to be someone you get along with. Before you know it, you'll be best mates with other cadets, chatting on Facebook and MSN or texting each other all through the week when you're not at cadets.
